Following a successful request for information process, the University of Missouri has concluded the exploration phase and plans to move forward with development of select sites included within the RFI process to generate meaningful revenue for the university, boost Columbia's economy and enhance the game day experience for fans.
"We received a great response from the development community and a variety of creative ideas," said UM System Treasurer Kevin Hogg. "We are excited about bringing more amenities to campus that benefit our constituents."
Through the RFI, the university has narrowed its focus to student housing, hospitality and mixed-use opportunities that enhance the campus and Mizzou Athletics. Over the coming months, the university will engage directly with developers related to specific opportunities while separately issuing formal Request for Proposals for select sites included within the RFI process.
The university intends to launch any formal Request for Proposals by the end of the year and will provide additional information as the development process progresses.
