JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - A multi-county project upgrading pedestrian facilities is scheduled to get underway in Osage County next week. Planned improvements include sidewalks, curb ramps, and pavement approaches to bring them into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). At their April 2025 meeting, the Missouri Department of Transportation awarded a $1,408,000 contract to Aplex Inc. to complete the project.
Starting Monday, May 5, crews will begin work in Linn on U.S. Route 50 from 11 th Street to N. Lindwood Drive. As part of this project, upgrades are also planned at the following locations, but the exact scheduled of work will be dependent on weather:
Work will require temporary closures of pedestrian facilities and intermittent single-lane closures with flaggers , as necessary. By contract, the project is scheduled for completion by Dec. 1, 2025. All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
