The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that catch basin (scuppers) cleaning will be performed on I-95 north and southbound in New Haven, West Haven, Orange, and Milford between Exits 51 and 33. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday night, November 1 and be completed on Monday November 16, 2026. The project DOT01730554CN consists of cleaning out the catch basins (scuppers) on bridges.

This project is being performed by Mohawk Northeast Inc.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be various lane closures on I-95 north and southbound from Sunday night, November 1 to Monday, November 16, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. State Police, traffic control signing patterns, and crash units will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.

Please Note: This advisory has been updated to reflect that catch basin cleaning will now take place in phases, so motorists can better plan around where work is occurring. Once the first phase is complete, CTDOT will release an updated schedule for future phases, weather permitting.
