WASHINGTON, D.C. - North Dakota State University's Bison football team beat the Montana State Bobcats on Monday in the National Collegiate Athletics Association Division I FCS Championship game 35-32. This is the 10th FCS Championship win for the Bison within 14 years.
Following the Bison win, U.S. Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND) announced President Donald Trump will host the champions at the White House at a future date. He also joined fellow North Dakota Senator John Hoeven (R) in introducing a resolution to congratulate the Bison.
Cramer delivered remarks on the floor of the United States Senate to congratulate the Bison and celebrate the victory.
"You can't help but use the word dynasty," said Cramer. "The two quarterbacks in this game, Tommy Mellott from Montana State and Cam Miller from NDSU, played each other in this same game when they were freshmen. They both started with their respective teams when they were freshmen, and NDSU prevailed in that game as well. What a program and what a great group of guys that created."
"We're just so proud of North Dakota State University," concluded Cramer."We're honored to be able to celebrate with them in this special way."
