WHAT:The West Virginia University EcoCAR teamwill host a spring vehicle demonstration showcasing student innovation in electric vehicle technology as part of the EcoCAR EV Challenge.

NOTES:The event will highlight the team's Cadillac LYRIQ and demonstrate how students are advancing transportation through the international EcoCAR EV Challenge, managed by Argonne National Laboratory and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and General Motors.
Students will also showcase an emergency vehicle detection system developed through the team's Mobility Challenge. The technology is designed to improve accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing drivers by providing haptic alerts when emergency vehicles are approaching.
Media are invited to attend, speak with students and faculty, and capture visuals of the vehicle and technology demonstrations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to test drive the vehicle and tour the facility.
