Quick-Build Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Please join us for the ribbon-cutting of Pomona's Orange Grove Avenue and Park Avenue Quick-Build project on Thursday, November 5, at 3:00 p.m. at Phil and Nell Soto Park, 1225 N. Park Avenue.

The project includes a new protected intersection, bike lanes, shorter crosswalks, and other safety improvements that change traffic patterns to slow cars and improve safety.

The ribbon-cutting will mark the beginning of the project's six-month evaluation period. During this time, the City will review safety data, traffic data, and public feedback to evaluate whether the changes are making the street safer for people walking, biking, and driving. A live bicycle demonstration will also show how the new protected intersection works.
