Mike Levin Working Overtime for Criminal Illegal Immigrants

Democrat Mike Levin is once again fighting hard but not for Californians, but for those in this country illegally. Levin recently called the Trump administration's plan to deport illegal immigrants "cruel," while a fellow Democrat councilman went as far as to label ICE agents as terrorists. This rhetoric is dangerous.

Mike Levin should be reminded that while he and his Democrat allies work to shield violent illegal immigrants, Californians are paying the price:

• In January, authorities in California arrested José Gonzalez Roa, a suspected member of the Tren de Aragua gang. Roa had a criminal history in multiple states, including attempted murder charges in California, and had illegally crossed the U.S. border at least three times.
• In March, ICE arrested Jose Antonio Garcia, a 51-year-old Mexican national, in San Diego. Garcia had been convicted of attempted murder.
• In April, an 18-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador was arrested in connection to the brutal murder of 25-year-old Fraylee Hernandez.
