Artists to Create New Immersive Installation in Upcoming GROW Residency

Creative Greensboro will welcome filmmakers Jennida Chase and Hassan Pitts, known collectively as S/N, to the Greensboro Residency for Original Works from October 14 through December 15. During their stay, the resident duo will create "Gate City: Playable Space," an immersive installation that fuses light, texture, sound, and video into a multi-sensory environment inviting exploration and interaction.

The public is invited to attend the opening of the installation from 6-9 pm on Thursday, November 6, at the Greensboro Cultural Center, 200 N. Davie St. The event will be followed by a First Friday celebration - also at the Greensboro Cultural Center - on Friday, November 7. Following these opening events, the installation will then be open during regular weekly hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, giving visitors multiple opportunities to step inside and experience the work until the residency concludes on December 15.

"Gate City: Playable Space" will also be available to visitors during downtown Greensboro's Festival of Lights on Friday, December 5. Step inside this living, cinematic world and discover how light, sound, and movement transform space into play.

The GROW residency space is located next to the Davie Street entrance of the Greensboro Cultural Center. To learn more about the residency, visit CreativeGreensboro.com.
