Senator Enrico Borghi and others, including from the press, claiming there are "mysteries" regarding the President of the Council of Ministers' two-day public absence should perhaps acknowledge a very simple truth: at least once a year, the President has the right to fulfil her most natural role, that of a mother.

President Meloni spent a private weekend in New York with her daughter Ginevra, whose birthday is in a few days. The trip was a birthday gift for her daughter. Both travelled on scheduled flights there and back, as President Meloni has never used a state flight for private purposes. President Meloni therefore intends to take legal action against those who have spread or insinuated baseless claims in this regard.
