NEW YORK-Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John C. Williams will visit Puerto Rico on April 10 and 11 to meet with leaders in government, business, and community and economic development. These meetings serve to inform President Williams on regional issues and are part of the New York Fed's ongoing efforts to assess economic conditions across the Federal Reserve's Second District, which includes Puerto Rico, along with New York State, northern New Jersey, southwestern Connecticut, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The regional visit will begin on Thursday, April 10, in Ponce, where President Williams will meet with municipal and economic development officials to hear about current and prospective economic conditions in the region. He will then visit the RHC School of Architecture at Pontificia Catholic University, where he will learn about historic preservation and redevelopment in Ponce.

Following that, he will visit PathStone, nonprofit organization, where he will take part in a community development roundtable discussion focused on housing affordability and access to capital for small businesses.
The final stop of the day will be the Ponce Museum of Art, where President Williams will learn about the institution's economic impact and ongoing redevelopment.
On Friday, April 11, President Williams will be in San Juan, where he will meet government officials to hear about the Island's fiscal outlook, economic development plans, and key initiatives underway.
Next, President Williams will join an event sponsored by the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, where he will deliver remarks and take part in a moderated discussion covering the U.S. economic outlook and monetary policy. He will then visit the T-Mobile District, an entertainment and retail complex, to learn about its operations and to understand business conditions in San Juan.
President Williams will then visit the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust, where he will participate in a community development roundtable discussion focused on the local entrepreneurship ecosystem.
