Las Vegas Motor Speedway Ready to Raise the Stakes for South Point 400 NASCAR Chase Weekend

When NASCAR rolls into the desert, Las Vegas Motor Speedway becomes more than a race track. It becomes the center of the motorsports world - and this weekend, the stakes are higher than ever.

The South Point 400 NASCAR Cup Series Chase Race takes over Las Vegas Motor Speedway Oct. 2-4, bringing three days of racing, entertainment and fan experiences to one of NASCAR's most exciting venues. With the NASCAR Cup Series Chase in full swing, every lap matters as championship contenders battle for a spot in the next round.

Why Las Vegas Motor Speedway Delivers One of NASCAR's Biggest Weekends

Few venues combine world-class racing and destination appeal quite like Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The 1.5-mile track is known for fast, competitive racing and multiple grooves that give drivers the opportunity to move around the track in search of speed. That wide racing surface can produce side-by-side battles, strategic pit calls and plenty of late-race drama.

But the racing is only part of the story.

Located just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip, the speedway transforms race weekend into a full-scale Vegas experience. Campers fill the infield, fans arrive from across the country and the energy builds throughout the weekend.

For many fans, it's the perfect combination: NASCAR by day, Las Vegas by night.

A Chase Race With Championship Stakes

This isn't just another stop on the NASCAR schedule.

The South Point 400 marks the fifth race of the 10-race NASCAR Cup Series Chase, putting championship pressure front and center as the postseason reaches its halfway point.

With 267 laps and 400.5 miles on tap Sunday, there will be plenty of opportunity for the championship contenders to make a statement - or see their title hopes take a hit.

Every position matters. Every pit stop matters. And as the laps wind down, the pressure only gets higher.

A Weekend Built for Race Fans

The South Point 400 weekend offers something for fans from the moment they arrive at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Friday kicks off the action with the Kyle Busch Classic at The Bullring, followed by Saturday's Focused Health 302 NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series Chase Race.

Sunday brings the main event, with the South Point 400 capping a full day of racing, entertainment and fan activities.

Fans can enjoy the Fan Zone, pre-race activities and access to premium experiences including Neon Garage and pit viewing opportunities. The weekend also offers special value for families and students, with kids 12 and under eligible for $10 Sunday Cup Series tickets with a ticketed adult and qualifying students and faculty able to purchase Sunday tickets for $19.

Celebrating a Las Vegas Racing Legend

This year's Fall NASCAR Weekend will also celebrate one of the most recognizable names in Las Vegas racing history: Kyle Busch.

The Las Vegas native will be honored throughout the South Point 400 weekend with special moments celebrating his career and connection to his home track.

Fans will have the opportunity to see Busch's 2019 championship trophy and championship-winning No. 18 car, while a special "Moment of Rowdy" will take place on Lap 8 during Sunday's South Point 400.

Permanent tributes throughout Las Vegas Motor Speedway will also commemorate Busch's impact on the facility and the Las Vegas racing community.

NASCAR Meets the Entertainment Capital of the World

There is simply nothing else like NASCAR in Las Vegas.

The backdrop of the desert, the roar of stock cars at full throttle and the energy of one of the world's most iconic cities combine to create a race weekend unlike any other.

And with the NASCAR Cup Series Chase reaching its midpoint, the South Point 400 adds another layer of intensity to the Vegas experience.

The championship picture will continue to take shape under the Nevada sky.

Because when the green flag drops in Las Vegas, the stakes are high - and every lap counts.

Lock in your tickets for the South Point 400 and experience NASCAR's Chase Weekend in Las Vegas!
