Section of East Franklin Road NE to be closed March 27, 2026

Beginning March 27, 2026, City of Norman Public Works crews will begin asphalt repairs on East Franklin Road, located just west of the intersection of 84th Avenue NE. The repairs are expected to take approximately one day to complete, weather permitting. During this time, East Franklin Road NE will be closed to through traffic between 72nd Avenue NE and 84th Avenue NE to allow crews to safely perform the asphalt repairs.
A detour route will be in place directing motorists to 72nd Avenue NE, Indian Hills Road, and 84th Avenue NE. Traffic control signs will be posted to guide drivers around the closure.
Motorists are encouraged to plan alternate routes and use caution when traveling near the work area.
