BOLTON, MS - Congressman Bennie G. Thompson today announced that Jackson State University (JSU) has received a $139,000 federal grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to support biomedical research and research training. The grant will support JSU's project, "Mass Spectrometry-Based Study of DNA Demethylation from an Excretion Perspective," led by Principal Investigator Dr. Liu Yiming. The award will advance research examining DNA demethylation using mass spectrometry-based approaches and support continued biomedical research at the university. |
