Chinese Consul General in Belfast Li Nan Visits Fermanagh and Omagh District

On April 23, Consul General Li Nan paid a visit to Fermanagh and Omagh District in Northern Ireland, met with Chair Cllr. Barry McElduff and Chief Executive Ms. Alison McCullagh. The two sides held in-depth discussions on expanding cooperation across various fields.

Consul General Li actively shared the key messages of China's Two Sessions and the Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan, and hoped Fermanagh and Omagh and its sister city Huangshi in China to maintain close engagement, continuously expand areas of cooperation, and enhance people-to-people exchanges to achieve higher-level mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. The Consulate General will continue to play its role as a bridge and link, promoting more tangible results across various fields of cooperation.

Cllr. McElduff expressed great importance to developing cooperation with China and stands ready to further deepen the sister-city relationship. Consul General Li also visited St Kevin's college, Cancer Connect NI and McCallan Bonded, and engaged in cordial exchanges with various sectors of the local community.
