UPDATE: Overnight Full Closure on Westbound Interstate 80 in Yolo County Postponed

Sacramento and West Sacramento - Caltrans notifies motorists that the overnight construction work for westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) scheduled this weekend from the Interstate 80 (I-80) and Interstate 5 (I-5) interchange to the U.S. Highway 50 (US 50) and I-80 interchange, has been postponed due to anticipated heavy fog.

The work was scheduled for the ongoing $280 million Yolo 80/50 Pavement Rehabilitation Project. A new date has not yet been scheduled.

Caltrans reminds motorists that all construction schedules are subject to change due to weather, equipment and/or material availability, or other unexpected events.

Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to "Be Work Zone Alert" and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
