LAKELAND, FL (November 4, 2025) - Beginning Tuesday, November 18, 2025, the City of Lakeland will commence roadway milling and paving operations on Eden Pkwy/ S. Lincoln Ave. This work is part of the City's ongoing preventative maintenance program designed to improve driving conditions and extend pavement lifespan.
The resurfacing process will involve milling (removing) approximately 1.5 inches of existing asphalt and replacing it with 1.5 inches of new asphalt. This method maintains consistent pavement elevation, helping to avoid issues with driveway and ADA ramp transitions.
Work will occur during daylight hours to reduce disruptions, with streets reopened to through traffic at the end of each workday. Drivers should anticipate potential delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Streets will remain open but will be reduced to a single lane with traffic managed by on-site flaggers. Weather or equipment delays may impact scheduling.
City employees will deliver door-hanger notices to affected residential properties at least 48 hours before work begins.
