The Billikens play the University of Georgia Bulldogs in Buffalo, New York, on Thursday, March 19.
The winner of Thursday's game will face the winner of No. 1 Michigan vs. No. 16 UMBC/Howard on Saturday, March 21. The winner of that game will advance to the Midwest Regional on March 27 in Chicago. The Final Four is set for April 4 and 6 in Indianapolis. Game time and TV information will be announced soon.
The Billikens are the No. 9 seed in the Midwest Region. Saint Louis enters NCAA Tournament play with a 28-5 overall record.
SLU is led by second-year head coach Josh Schertz. Schertz was hired at SLU after three seasons at Indiana State, the final of which resulted in a 32-7 record and a magical run to the NIT championship game. Prior to his stint at ISU, he spent 13 seasons at Lincoln Memorial, where he led the Railsplitters to 10 NCAA Division II national tournaments, including an appearance in the 2016 NCAA Division II national championship game. In two years leading the Billikens, he has put up a 46-19 record.
