Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has today announced the appointment of securitisation lawyer Victoria Morton as a partner in its London office.
Victoria joins from Paul Hastings, where she was a member of the structured credit team for 10 years and was a partner since 2022.
Victoria has extensive experience advising on securitisation and structured finance transactions, acting for both banks and non-bank specialist loan originators and servicers. Her practice focuses on a wide range of asset-backed financings, including private warehouse financings, forward flow arrangements, loan portfolio sales and public securitisations.
She has particular expertise across a broad range of asset classes, including residential mortgage loans, consumer loans, SME commercial real estate loans, bridging loans, auto loans and credit card receivables.
Madhavi Gosavi, Head of Banking and Finance, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific, commented:
"Victoria's strong track record in securitisation and structured finance, combined with her deep relationships with key market participants, makes her an excellent addition to our team. Victoria will further strengthen our offering to clients across the financial institutions sector, where we continue to see sustained demand for sophisticated financing solutions."
London-based securitisation partner David Shearer said:
"Victoria is a highly regarded lawyer whose experience spans both public and private securitisations across a broad range of asset classes. Her arrival reflects the continued strength and growth of our securitisation practice in London and globally."
Victoria commented:
"Norton Rose Fulbright has an outstanding global platform and a leading reputation in securitisation and structured finance. I am excited to join the team and to support clients on complex and innovative transactions across a wide range of asset classes around the world."
Norton Rose Fulbright's capital markets practice continues to grow, with recent hires including Christian Lambie, Samir Bensaker and Brad Robinson in the securitisation practice across London, Paris and Melbourne, respectively; Peter Voorhees in Amsterdam; Jessica Li in Hong Kong; Bernd Bohr (high yield) in London; and Hamed Afzal in Dubai. These additions further strengthen the firm's global offering, which includes established capital markets capabilities in the United States.
The firm's capital markets lawyers - who advise some of the world's largest corporations - cover the full range of equity and debt capital markets matters, ranging from securitisation and derivatives to domestic and international equity offerings and multiple listings for large multinationals, as well as investment grade and high-yield debt transactions for sovereigns, banks, export credit agencies, multilaterals, institutional investors and international companies.
