Greeting on Day of the Russian Courier Service

The message reads, in part:

"You have every right to take pride in the glorious history of your service and the multiple generations of your predecessors who demonstrated their unwavering spirit in the most challenging situations, along with their exceptional competence, resilience and courage.

Today, the State Courier Service plays an important role in public administration and has a responsible mission, which consists of operating a reliable and well-functioning communication system. Members of the Russian State Courier Service deliver the most important documents of the President, as well as those of the legislative, executive and judicial bodies of Russia, heads of state and government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, and also deliver dispatches, technical documents and industrial designs outside our country as part of military-technical cooperation.

Your efforts to carefully preserve and develop the existing traditions and seek inspiration from your veterans have been commendable. Let me note that it is largely thanks to your selfless service and professionalism that we have been able to arrange and ensure the delivery of the relevant correspondence and its safety to Donbass and Novorossiya using newly established courier delivery routes.

I am certain that tomorrow, just as today, you will perform your duty and serve your Fatherland and our people with honour and dignity."
