Jeremy West, director of information technology project management office at DG, was named Community Leader of the Year by the Greater Nashville Technology Council during its 16th Annual NTC Awards. The recognition is presented to an individual who contributes to the technology community of Middle Tennessee through involvement, leadership and excellence in giving back.
Jeremy joined Dollar General in 2016 as an IT project analyst and over the past eight years has held roles of increasing responsibility before being promoted his current position in 2025. Beyond his role leading high-impact strategic initiatives at DG and his volunteerism through the Company's employee resource groups, Jeremy participates in a number of community activities through the Nashville Technology Council including serving as a member of their ambassador board and as an active member on their workforce development committee. He also established an IT Young Professionals group as a long-term strategy to cultivate younger tech talent. Outside of his passion for tech, Jeremy is a co-founder and treasurer of K9 Air Rescue, a Memphis-based nonprofit that facilitates transporting shelter dogs to medical care and forever homes.
The 2025 NTC Awards, a premiere annual event for the technology community in greater Nashville, celebrates technology champions in fifteen categories with more than 160 technology companies and related organizations present.
