Cary, NC - Cary is bringing free live music, local food trucks, and family activities to five parks and the Page-Walker Arts & History Center this summer. Join the fun at these outdoor event series: Bands, Bites, and Boats; Summer Vibes; CaryLIVE!; and Performances at the Page.
The Bond Park Boathouse hosts Bands, Bites, and Boats on select Fridays from May through October. The series features live music, local food trucks, and craft beers, with after-hours boat rentals available on Bond Lake. On June 5, the LaureNicole Duo will perform from 6 to 8 p.m., followed by Garland Mason on July 10, Adam Pitts on August 7, My Cousin Skinny on September 4, and the Amanda Peach Duo on October 2. The Phil & Tim Duo performed on May 1. Bring lawn chairs, friends, and family, and join in the fun!
The Summer Vibes series brings live music to three neighborhood parks on select Wednesday evenings. The events begin June 17 with the Adam Decker Band at Neighborhood Park at Carpenter Fire Station Road, followed by the Island Time Band on July 15 at Jack Smith Park, and Night Shift on August 19 at North Cary Park. All shows run from 6 to 8 p.m. Children's craft activities will be available at each event.
Downtown Cary Park's Great Lawn & Pavilion will serve as the backdrop for the CaryLIVE! concert series, featuring regional and nationally recognized artists on Saturday evenings from May through August. The series opens May 30 with Fancy Gap from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Abraham Alexander performs June 27, The Suitcase Junket takes the stage July 25, and Delta Rae closes the summer series August 22. All CaryLIVE! concerts feature an opening act.
Performances at the Page feature two shows in the Page-Walker garden: Jamrock, a reggae band, on June 12, and Redbud, a bluegrass band, on July 31. The Redbud concert is presented in partnership with PineCone Bluegrass Jam Camp and includes an opening performance by student musicians. Both events are family-friendly and offer food trucks.
