BLOOMFIELD, Conn., March 23, 2026: Cigna Healthcare, the health benefits division of The Cigna Group (NYSE: CI), today announced that Dr. Stanley Crittenden has joined the organization as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Crittenden will lead Cigna Healthcare's clinical organization, advancing initiatives that deliver personalized, high-quality, affordable care and an exceptional experience for customers and clinicians across the health care system.
Dr. Crittenden will oversee the evolution and implementation of Cigna Healthcare's clinical solutions and programs, leveraging data and analytics to deliver innovative solutions for clients. Partnering with leaders across The Cigna Group, Dr. Crittenden will help advance the company's commitments to providing easier access to care and simplifying the health care experience for customers and physicians.

An accomplished physician executive, Dr. Crittenden brings extensive experience across managed care, clinical operations, population health, and value-based care. He most recently served as enterprise Chief Medical Officer at Quantum Health, a national healthcare navigation company, where he led clinical strategy and programs. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Evergreen Nephrology, a Rubicon Founders company, Anthem, and Humana, driving clinical transformation and performance across diverse care models.

Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Clinical Hypertension, Dr. Crittenden completed his training at Weill Cornell Medicine and the University of Chicago, and earned his M.D. from Tulane University. Dr. Crittenden serves on several national committees of the American Society of Nephrology and is widely recognized as a thought leader in healthcare delivery innovation and chronic disease care models.
