WHAT: iHeartPodcasts and Campside Media today announced the launch of "Model Wars," a high-energy documentary podcast series hosted by journalist and Campside co-founder Vanessa Grigoriadis and executive produced by Rachel Winter with Hollywoodland, and Adam Hoff. Pulling back the curtain on the glamorous but dangerous world of high fashion in the 1980s and 90s, the podcast tells the story of dirty money and ruthless competition - all happening at the same time President Trump started his modeling agency, and Jeffrey Epstein funded an agency in Paris.
At the series' center is Paul Fisher, a straight-A student from the San Fernando Valley who stumbled into the modeling business after a chance encounter with an alleged mobster. With a million dollars in shady funding and no experience, Fisher set out to challenge the titans of the industry-including the legendary Eileen Ford and playboy agent John Casablancas-only to find himself entangled in a "model war" that changed fashion forever.
Over ten episodes, "Model Wars" follows Fisher's rise and disastrous fall as he parties his way through the glamorous scene, burns through mountains of cash, and builds a powerful new agency-all while contending with dangerous backers.
WHO: Vanessa Grigoriadis is a co-founder of Campside Media, host of Infamous: Inside America's Biggest Scandals, Run Bambi Run, New York magazine's Tabloid, and co-creator of Chameleon and Fallen Angel podcasts.
