Prime Minister Edi Rama will undertake an official visit to the Republic of South Korea from 17 to 21 May, accompanied by his spouse, Linda Rama, and the Albanian delegation. The visit aims to deepen cooperation between the two countries and expand the partnership in areas of mutual interest related to development, technology and innovation.
Upon his arrival in Seoul, Prime Minister Rama will attend a welcome dinner hosted by the Asian Leadership Center and the Harvard Club of Korea, organisations committed to promoting leadership, education and international cooperation across Asia. The event will gather representatives from Korean politics, government and business, while Prime Minister Rama is expected to hold meetings with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Kim Minseok, as well as Samsung CEO Lee Jae-yong.
At the opening ceremony of the prestigious Asian Leadership Conference, Prime Minister Rama will deliver welcoming remarks alongside prominent international figures, including the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea, Kim Minseok.
Prime Minister Rama will then participate as a special guest in the panel discussion entitled "Conversation with a Leader: An Era of Great Transformation: A Small Nation's Grand Strategy", where he will address emerging global challenges from the perspective of the Western Balkans, the strategies of small countries in the face of geopolitical change, as well as the role of artificial intelligence and digital innovation in governance.
The agenda of the visit also includes a series of meetings with executives of major Korean companies, focusing on economic cooperation and investment opportunities in Albania.
As part of the visit, Prime Minister Rama will also take part in an exclusive dialogue with leaders from the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
