During a joint press briefing with Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Mr. Nasser Bourita following their talks, Mr. Kaba, who is making her first working visit to the Kingdom, highlighted the importance of the Process of Atlantic African States as well as the Royal Initiative aimed at facilitating Sahel countries' access to the Atlantic Ocean.
Mr. Kaba also welcomed the strength of the historical relations uniting Côte d'Ivoire and Morocco, praising centuries-old bilateral cooperation that has been considerably strengthened under the impetus of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and Ivorian President Alassane Ouattara.
The Ivorian top diplomat further highlighted the dynamism of the Moroccan private sector in Côte d'Ivoire, noting that Moroccan companies actively contribute to the country's economic development and major structuring projects.
In this regard, she noted that the meeting also provided an opportunity to examine ways to strengthen economic cooperation mechanisms and inject new momentum into investments and bilateral exchanges, notably within the framework of the Morocco-Côte d'Ivoire Economic Impetus Group.
Mr. Kaba also expressed Côte d'Ivoire's willingness to benefit from Morocco's experience in economic development and South-South cooperation, particularly within the framework of the implementation of Côte d'Ivoire's National Development Plan 2026-2030.
She further expressed her gratitude to Morocco for the scholarships granted annually to Ivorian students, highlighting the importance of bilateral cooperation in the fields of education and skills development.
