Visit of Pacific Islands Forum Deputy Secretary-General Esala Nayasi, under the MFA Distinguished Visitors' Programme, 19 to 23 January 2026

Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Deputy Secretary-General (Strategic Policy & Programming) Esala Nayasi will visit Singapore under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Distinguished Visitors' Programme (DVP) from 19 to 23 January 2026. Deputy Secretary-General Nayasi's visit reflects our commitment to strengthening our relations with the Pacific and PIF.

During his visit, Deputy Secretary-General Nayasi will call on Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Vivian Balakrishnan and be hosted to lunch by Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs Albert Chua. He will receive briefings from the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, National Climate Change Secretariat, Centre for Strategic Futures, Civil Service College and the Centre for Climate Research Singapore. He will also meet with representatives from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and ISEAS - Yusof Ishak Institute and visit the Marina Barrage.

Launched in 2005, the MFA DVP invites outstanding foreign leaders to visit Singapore to exchange views on issues of mutual interest. The MFA DVP reflects Singapore's commitment to strengthening cooperation and fostering mutual understanding with our global partners.
