A group of international observers from the IPA CIS held meetings with parliamentary election candidates and leaders of the Prosperous Armenia Party, the Republican Party of Armenia, and the Strong Armenia and Hayastan blocs.

The meetings addressed issues related to the participation of parties represented in the National Assembly of Armenia in the formation of precinct election commissions, as well as the registration of political forces for participation in the elections. Particular attention was also paid to the launch of the election campaign and the campaigning methods various political forces intend to employ.

The international observers spoke about the work being carried out within the framework of long-term observation. Representatives of the political parties and blocs, in turn, shared their assessment of the pre-election situation in the country.

The monitoring group continues long-term observation of the preparations for the parliamentary elections in Armenia, both in Yerevan and in other regions of the country.
