Happy Trails: Discover Vista's Hiking Trails

Embrace your adventurous side and get outdoors when you visit one of our five hiking trails throughout the city!

Buena Vista Park features 2+ miles of hiking/biking trails. Routes can be customized with distance and elevation. Parts of the trail run alongside Agua Hedionda Creek with shade provided by oak trees, but you can also climb the hill and get a great view of south Vista.

The Buena Vista Creek Trail, located off Hacienda Drive across from the BMW dealership, features wide pathways along a densely packed biological preserve. This short, casual hiking trail can be completed in a few minutes.

La Mirada Canyon is a tranquil path in the middle of Business Park. It features a unique tunnel allowing safe passage under Business Park Drive. Limited vehicle parking can be found on Park Center Drive. Please be aware there are no public restrooms, water fountains, trash containers, or dog bags available on the trail.

We want hiking to be enjoyable for all! Please help by following these rules while using the trails:

• Trails are open from sunrise to sunset.
• Dogs are allowed on leash. Please do not leave dog waste on trails.
• Please note that restrooms, water fountains, or trash containers are not available on trails.
• Bicycles are allowed; however, ATVs and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
• Please stay on trails to protect the natural habitat.
