CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (Sept. 29, 2024) - Charlotte County Community Development Department will reopen at 9 a.m., Sept. 30 and will resume building inspections on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Scheduling of inspections on the IVR system or online through the contractor portal will not be available to use until Tuesday, Oct. 1.

All inspections scheduled before the hurricane have been canceled and will need to be rescheduled except for new single family home final inspections, which will be completed Monday and Tuesday Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Before rescheduling the canceled inspections, please revisit the job site to ensure it is ready. Job sites that have sustained damage may need to be repaired before inspections are scheduled.
