Wastewater Discharge Notification - 9/27/2024

Oct. 3, 2024 - A update on the discharge at the Northeast Water Reclamation Facility starting Sept. 27, 2024 - Approximately 1,020,000 gallons of wastewater was discharged at the Northeast Water Reclamation Facility due to the plant being taken offline to prevent it from severe damage from the storm surge from Hurricane Helene so that it would be operational after the storm. The discharge entered into Placido Bayou. The facility was brought back online within 24 hours and the discharge ceased on September 27, 2024.
