MOFA response to China’s criticism of Permanent Representative of Fiji to the UN Filipo Tarakinikini’s visit to Taiwan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) welcomes friends from the international community to visit Taiwan to gain an understanding of the latest developments in various areas and to exchange views on issues of mutual concern.
MOFA emphasizes that Taiwan, as an indispensable member of the international community, has the right to engage with other countries through visits, exchanges, and cooperation. China has no right to comment on or interfere with normal interactions between sovereign states.
