NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
LAS 35469
OUTBOUND HELI ADVENTURES LLC
Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: OUTBOUND HELI ADVENTURES LLC
PROJECT NAME: LAS 35469
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: 61.33387°, -148.41845°, on Gannet Ridgeline at approximately 3100 ft. elevation
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Section 05, Township 014N, Range 006E, Seward Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: To place a 6M Geodesic Dome on Gannett ridgeline over looking Knik Glacier. The dome will be used to offer remote, overnight accommodations to clients/consumers of Outbound Heli Adventures, LLC. There will be a second, small building on site to house supplies, safety equipment and a guide. Approximate size is 6ft x 10ft for the out building. Dry flush cartridge toilets and foot pedal sinks will be used in both dwellings, as well as small drip stoves for heat.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: May 1, 2025
End: April 30, 2030
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: April 22, 2025
The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue an authorization with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
