Dozens of DCHA youth and their loved ones had a spooktacular time on Oct. 31 at DCHA's annual Halloween Extravaganza. Residents from the Greenleaf Gardens, Syphax Gardens and James Creek communities enjoyed the event together.
Executive Director Keith Pettigrew joined the celebration, which offered numerous Halloween-themed activities and treats. Youth in their colorful costumes showed holiday spirit and dressed as athletes, monsters, movie characters, pumpkins, and princesses.
Adults got in the Halloween spirit too. They dressed as clowns, cheerleaders, and even Sesame Street's Count von Count.
The event included a haunted house, face-painting, arcade games, and more. There was also a candy giveaway, allowing every child to go home with a bag full of sweets. A frighteningly fun time was had by all.
