PUBLIC NOTICE
REGARDING DISPOSAL OF AN INTEREST IN MUNICIPAL TRUST LAND IN
KOKHANOK, ALASKA BY THE MUNICIPAL LANDS TRUSTEE
In accordance with A.S. 44.33.755 and 3 AAC 190.460(1) the Municipal Lands Trust Officer, acting on behalf of the Commissioner of the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development, proposes the issuance of a quitclaim deed to the Kokhanok Village Council. The parcel is to be used for a multipurpose building serving a public or charitable purpose, currently under lease to the Kokhanok Village Council, and is located on the following described parcel of Municipal Trust Land:
The surface estate of that certain real property located in Section 31, Township 8 South, Range 32 West, Seward Meridian, Alaska, more particularly described as Lot 5, Plat No. 2025-2, Iliamna Recording District, State of Alaska, containing 4.74 acres.
The conveyance by quitclaim deed and the waiver of the fair market value requirement is subject to the approval by the Kokhanok Village Council, the recognized appropriate village entity for the Native Village of Kokhanok.
Any person having an adverse equity interest in the improvements located on these parcels must contact the staff listed below, within 30 days after the publication of this notice, to file a claim with the commissioner so that their interest may be considered before disposal of the parcel.
The public is invited to comment on the proposed changes.

Comments are due no later than 5:00 p.m. August 1, 2026.
Following the comment deadline, all responses will be reviewed and the Commissioner's decision on this matter may be modified as a result of information received.
