ODOT seeking public comments on upcoming projects

SIDNEY (Friday, August 22, 2025) - The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects:

Spangler Road Safety Improvements, PID 114352 - PROJECT UPDATE: The Clark County Engineer proposes to reconstruct Spangler Road from Restoration Park Drive to Main Street in Medway, Clark County. The project will include raising the road to reduce flooding. The Designer of Record on the project has documented that the project will not result in an unacceptable rise in the base flood elevation. The floodplain Statement of Findings and related floodplain documentation are available for public review and comment.

Culvert Maintenance, PID 110166 - PROJECT UPDATE: ODOT proposes to address the deteriorated condition of seven culvert systems in Auglaize, Logan, and Mercer Counties. The project is expected to begin in Summer 2027 and require three months to construct.

US 127 at SR 119 Safety Improvements, PID 120177 - ODOT proposes to implement safety improvements at the intersection of US 127 and SR 119. The current preferred alternative is a modern roundabout. The project is intended to address conditions that are contributing to crashes, particularly injury crashes, at this intersection. Construction is expected to begin in Spring 2027. A pre-recorded presentation regarding the proposed improvements is available on the ODOT Project Page for PID 120177.

Kingsridge Drive, PID 120184 - Miami Township proposes to install sidewalk and related pedestrian improvements on Kingsridge Drive, between Springboro Pike and Lyons Ridge Road. Drive modifications, including closures, are planned, to reduced vehicle/pedestrian conflicts. The project is necessary to improve pedestrian safety. The project is expected to occur in Spring 2027.

Comments may be submitted by contacting the individual below. Issues the public may wish to comment on include, but are not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources.
