WASHINGTON - House Republican Conference Chairwoman Lisa McClain (R-Mich.) released the following statement in response to President Trump's announcement that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of a peace plan:
"This is what happens when we have strong leadership. Funny how peace only seems possible when President Trump's in charge. The Israel-Hamas ceasefire didn't happen by accident - it happened because of his strong leadership that puts America-and peace-first. Grateful the hostages are finally coming home and peace in the Middle East is on the horizon," Chairwoman McClain said.
