From A Woman's Perspective An Annual Exhibition Of Visual Art

  • January 07, 2025

If you are in or around Portland, Maine in March stop in Richard Boyd Art Gallery to see a great annual exhibition of visual art created by a group of highly regarded, award winning, nationally renowned, and established women artists with different perspectives and interests joined by their love of creating art.

Visual art created by women is underrepresented in museums and galleries around the globe. So, let's change this. Help recognize and celebrate women and the contributions they make to the arts and our society on a daily basis.

The exhibition showcases traditional and contemporary paintings and sculptures created by women using innovative and conventional time-honored techniques and includes a spectacular collection of original paintings created by artists' Amy Bickford - gouache, Deena S. Ball - watercolor and oil, Patricia Chandler - oil and cold wax medium, Carrin Culotta - oil, Wyn Foland - mixed media, Jane Herbert - acrylic, Jen Pagnini - oil, Felicity Sidwell - oil, and stunning unique and limited-edition sculptures by Laura Freeman.

The exhibit is open free of charge from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from March 1st through March 30th, 2025. Additional days and times by chance or appointment.
