Bike-X and Helmet event features stunts and helmet giveaway May 9

Jumpstart your summer at the Bike-X and Helmets Event from 10 am to 1 pm Saturday, May 9 at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest.

This exciting event, which is equal parts BMX thrills and e-bike safety, is designed to help children and teens prepare for a summer filled with healthy outdoor activities. The free event will feature live BMX stunt shows at 11 am and noon, a bike rodeo as well as e-bike safety education. Providence Mission Hospital's trauma team will fit free multi-sport style black helmets for children aged 2-17 years old on a first-come, first-served basis (while supplies last).

The Orange County Sheriff's Department and CHP will be on hand with activities and safety information. Orange County Transportation Authority representatives will host a prize wheel activity with complimentary bike safety equipment.

Hosted by the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, and Rancho Santa Margarita as well as the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the event will take place at Saddleback Church's upper lot located at 1 Saddleback Lane in Lake Forest. The public is invited.
