See what makes life well-lived in an unusual comedy musical at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this November.
"Ride the Cyclone", written and composed by Jacob Richmond and Brooke Maxwell, will be staged in the Jenkins Theatre of the Noel Fine Arts Center, 1800 Portage St., Stevens Point. Shows are at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 7-8 and Thursday through Saturday Nov. 13-15, with a matinees at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 15.
Tickets are $28 for adults, $25 for seniors and UW-Stevens Point faculty and staff and $16 for youth. Tickets will be available for purchase at tickets.uwsp.edu, by calling 715-346-4100 or by visiting the Information and Tickets Office in the Dreyfus University Center in Stevens Point.
This hilarious and outlandish story follows the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to play "the game" for a second chance at life. This popular musical is a funny, moving look at what makes a life well-lived. "Ride the Cyclone" contains adult language and themes that may be inappropriate for younger audiences. The show is rated PG-14.
