DGA Statement on Governor Ned Lamont's Victory in Connecticut

DGA Chair Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear released the following statement on Gov. Ned Lamont being re-elected in Connecticut:

"Congratulations to Governor Ned Lamont on being re-elected governor of Connecticut and becoming the first Democratic governor in the state's history to win a third four-year term. Governor Lamont's record of making life better is why voters continue to support him. He passed one of the best Paid Family and Medical Leave programs in the country, raised the minimum wage to nearly $17 an hour, cut taxes for working families and the middle class, and paid down $11 billion in debt. He has been relentless in standing up to the Trump administration's attacks on jobs and businesses and taking on special interests to bring down energy costs. Governor Lamont is an outstanding leader because he knows how to fight and deliver for his state and the DGA looks forward to working with him for another four years."
