GDOT Contractor will begin a Vegetation Project on I-475/SR 408 Southbound, beginning January 5, 2026

Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2026, the contractor will conduct vegetation maintenance on I-475 Southbound, weather permitting.

This project encompasses all of I-475 South from I-75 to I-75. A single right lane closure may be implemented on I-475 South and the exit ramps.

The shoulder work is anticipated to last up to end of February 2026 to complete the proposed work. The contractor will utilize a right shoulder closure for most of the work. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the project area.

Advisory: Dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app.
