Downtown New Brunswick Hosts Free HEART Festival This Saturday
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (August 7, 2026) - Downtown New Brunswick will once again transform into a celebration of music, culture, and community on Saturday, Aug. 8, as the annual New Brunswick HEART Festival returns to Monument Square from 2 to 6 p.m.
The free, family-friendly event highlights the vibrant arts and history of Middlesex County. Headlined by party group The B-Side Band, the stage lineup features local favorites including Warehouse Collective, hip-hop showcase Dance Warz, the New Brunswick Brass Band, and folk dancers Grupo de Danza Folklórica La Sagrada Familia. Hosts Sharon Gordon and Bert Baron will emcee the afternoon's festivities.
Beyond live music, attendees can explore a local art market, craft vendors, and diverse food options ranging from tacos to acai bowls. The festival offers free face painting, henna, balloon art, interactive crafts, wellness activities, and open-house dance workshops hosted by the Princeton Ballet School at the adjacent New Brunswick Performing Arts Center.
