Rep. Haas Celebrates $1.5 Billion CSL Behring Expansion in District 79

KANKAKEE - In response to the announcement of CSL Behring's $1.5 billion expansion at their facility in Kankakee, State Representative Jackie Haas (R-Kankakee) released the following statement:

"I am thrilled CSL Behring made the decision to expand in Illinois, right here in the 79th district," said Rep. Haas. "This $1.5 billion expansion will provide more access to patients across the globe, while also bringing more jobs and opportunity to our community. CSL has always been a wonderful partner to this community, and with this 1.5 billion local expansion, plans to add an additional 300 jobs while retaining more than 1200 existing positions in this location. I can't wait to see the positive impacts this expansion will have on our entire region! I am proud to partner in my work as State Representative with business leaders like CSL to invest in our community and make this a great place to live, work, and raise our families. "

CSL Behring is one of the largest employers in the Kankakee Metro Area and is the largest manufacturing employer in Kankakee County.
