Apply for OU scholarships starting December 1

New and continuing students are encouraged to apply for Oakland University's annual scholarships starting December 1.

OU offers more than 350 scholarships based on various criteria, including academic achievement, financial need, program of study and extracurricular activities.

All students should complete the OU Annual Scholarship Application, which is used to match students to endowed and departmental scholarships for which they may be qualified.

"This is a great opportunity for students to be awarded additional scholarship funding for the 2026-2027 academic year," said Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships Nicole Boelk. Students can apply for OU annual scholarships through March 1, 2026.

After submitting the application, be sure to review the "My Opportunities" section as additional information may be required for certain scholarships. Applicants must be admitted as a degree-seeking student at Oakland University and have activated their Oakland University accounts to obtain their NetID and password.

In addition, students who have not yet completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) should do so to become eligible for federal, state and institutional aid, including grants, scholarships, loans and the federal work-study program.
