WSB-TV Wins 8 Awards for Outstanding Journalism and Community Service

Condace Pressley, Michael Williams also earn prestigious individual honors from Georgia Association of Broadcasters

ATLANTA - September 30, 2026, WSB-TV has been honored with eight awards from the Georgia Association of Broadcasters, recognizing the station's excellence in journalism, severe weather coverage, community service, programming and promotion. WSB-TV's Condace Pressley received one of the association's highest individual honors, being named GAB's 2026 Broadcaster of the Year. Michael Williams was also honored with the 2026 Ditty-McLemore Engineering Award for his contributions to broadcast engineering.

The station received 8 GABBY Awards in major categories. The honors recognize the work of WSB-TV's news, community affairs, programming and creative services teams, as well as the contributions of individual journalists and staff members.

Condace Pressley Named 2026 Broadcaster of the Year

Pressley has dedicated 40 years of service to WSB and Georgia broadcasting. After building a distinguished career at WSB Radio, she transitioned to television and now serves as WSB-TV's Director of Community and Public Affairs.

"Her impact extends far beyond her title," said WSB-TV President Marian Pittman. "Condace is a trusted colleague and tireless champion for the community, she embodies the integrity, service and commitment that define WSB."

Michael Williams honored with 2026 Ditty-McLemore Engineering Award

Williams was recognized as GAB's Engineer of the Year, taking home the 2026 Ditty-McLemore Engineering Award which honors individuals for exceptional contributions to broadcast engineering.

Williams, Senior Manager of IT at WSB-TV in Atlanta, has more than 30 years of experience in the broadcast industry, almost all those years with Cox Media Group.

"Michael is the go-to engineer at WSB-TV & Cox Media Group," said Pittman. "He's a bridge builder between departments and a masterful problem solver. He is so deserving of this honor."
