October is American Pharmacists Month, and beginning tomorrow, we'll celebrate the pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and support teams who help our customers and communities stay healthy every day.

Led by the American Pharmacists Association, this year's theme, "Caring for Our Communities," celebrates the enduring role pharmacy has played in strengthening communities, advancing innovation and improving the health of generations of Americans.

A Look at How Pharmacy Has Evolved

As we kick off American Pharmacists Month, we're sharing a special video that looks at how pharmacy practice has changed over the years and where it is headed next. The video features Albertsons Cos. pharmacy leaders reflecting on how pharmacy services have evolved from traditional dispensing to a broader role centered on patient care, clinical services, innovation and community health. The video also explores how pharmacy teams are helping connect healthcare, nutrition and wellness in ways that make care more convenient and accessible for the communities we serve.
