West Orange, NJ, August 19, 2026 - Bob Taylor, MBA, CMRP, Chief Supply Chain Officer and Senior Vice President of Supply Chain, RWJBarnabas Health, was recognized by Becker's Hospital Review as one of just 69 health system supply chain leaders around the country who are successfully guiding their organizations through unprecedented supply chain challenges and are key to their organizations' overall success. Throughout a network comprising 12 facilities and 400 practices, Mr. Taylor leads a team of more than 400 people that oversees strategic sourcing and contracting, clinical value analysis, procure-to-pay, final-mile logistics, and master file management and analytics. Mr. Taylor takes a highly strategic, data-driven approach to procurement to enhance quality and patient outcomes in the most fiscally responsible way possible, and he recently added responsibility for IT contracting to his team's portfolio, partnering with IT business owners to maximize value and rigor in the contracting process.
With more than 38 years of experience, Mr. Taylor utilizes his strong operational and administrative experience and talent to improve operations across the vast health system. He is charged with maintaining the delicate balance of creating efficiency and effectiveness in the system's complex and interconnected supply chain to meet the many, and sometimes competing, needs within the organization. As RWJBarnabas Health transitions to value-based care amid ongoing global supply chain disruption, Mr. Taylor and his team take a proactive approach to mitigating risk, integrating strategies to optimize scarce resources, alleviate shortages and expand capacity quickly. His team was recognized by the Health Industry Resilience Collaborative for "Distinguished Recognition for a Provider Partnership."
