PEMBINA, N.D. - The public is invited to attend the October "Monthly Movie Matinee" at the Pembina State Museum on Saturday, Oct. 18. The free screenings will begin at 12:30, 2 and 3:30 p.m. Pop and popcorn will be available for sale in the Museum Store.
This month we are screening "The Hitch-Hiker" by director Ida Lupino. While vacationing in Mexico, two men offer a ride to a hitchhiker who, after revealing himself as a homicidal maniac, forces the men to help him evade the police. This is a classic film noir thriller from 1953 that was added to the National Film Registry in 2018. This film was released before the Motion Picture Association film rating system was established. Runtime is 70 minutes.
The Pembina State Museum, located at 805 Highway 59, Pembina, is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota. Admission to the museum and observation tower is $10.
