WHY:
M-DCPS is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Venetian Parc Academy, a 59,225 sq. ft, two story building.
Veitia Padron, Inc., was the contractor for the $24 million project, which will accommodate 750 student stations. The building features seven kindergarten classrooms, twenty primary classrooms and ten intermediate classrooms, two exceptional student education (ESE) classrooms in addition to a skills development lab, an art room and a music room.
The building also includes a media center, administration and student services offices, a full kitchen and dining room, a PE shelter, a playground, and two hard courts as well as staff and visitor parking.
