'A silent emergency, a call to action': the AXA Foundation for Human Progress is launching an international program to tackle violence against children.

Every year, 1 in 2 children in the world is a victim of physical, psychological or sexual violence, according to the World Health Organization. Faced with this silent emergency, the AXA Foundation for Human Progress announces the launch of its first international call for projects entitled Fighting violence against children, with an endowment of €10 million over three years.

This call for projects aims to support innovative and impactful initiatives in three priority areas:

1. Prevention: raising awareness among families, schools and communities about children's rights and positive practices.

2. Early detection and support: developing alert systems and support programmes for victims.

3. Advocacy: promoting public policies that strengthen the protection of children.

Why is this call essential?

Violence against children is not only an individual tragedy, it weakens our societies by fuelling cycles of poverty, breaking trust and potential, and undermining social cohesion. By supporting projects in France, Spain and Colombia from 2025, the AXA Foundation for Human Progress wants to contribute to the sustainable transformation of child protection systems.

A unique and ambitious program

1. An interdisciplinary approach: by combining educational, technological and community solutions.

2. A commitment to support all children, considering their specific needs and regardless of their social background.

3. An approach on an international scale, as close as possible to actions in the field, and which will ultimately promote the dissemination and exchange of best practices on a global scale.

Call to action
We invite associations, NGOs and foundations to submit their projects before November 15th, 2025.
Together, we can provide every child with a safe, dignified and confident future.
